Even after all the holiday packages have been unwrapped there’s still a chance to give one last pres ent to the earth by donating your live Christmas tree  to a county-wide recycling program that will chip it into  a life-giving, water-saving, sweet-smelling layer of mulch.  Recycling trees creates mulch, fuel, wildlife habitats and  other useful material. You can help “Keep Cobb Beautiful,”  by recycling your old tree after the holiday season. Keep  Cobb Beautiful is sponsoring free recycling drop-offs.

Keep Cobb Beautiful is inviting everyone to “Bring  One for the Chipper,” and recycle your Christmas tree  after the holidays. As part of a statewide effort to reuse  Christmas trees, Keep Cobb Beautiful is hosting convenient  sites where area residents can drop off their trees. No other  items will be allowed to be dropped off at sites. Various  locations in Cobb County will accept trees from December  25, 2023 until January 6, 2024. To volunteer at a site loca tion, look on the website at www.keepcobbbeautiful.org  and go to the volunteer section for more information.
