When posed the question “What type of person would be your ideal customer?” Cassie Craig, Founder and CEO of CAS Med Spa, draws from her core beliefs about her business. “My ideal customer would be one who is ready to embrace the journey to be her or his best self,” explains Craig. “We believe in treating the whole person and don’t just deliver treatments. Instead, we partner with someone to transform that individual.”

Opened in early 2019 at The Avenue East Cobb, the newest location of CAS Med Spa is doing just what Craig described — helping transform those who enter their doors. Whether it’s for skincare, body contouring, or nonsurgical injectables, skilled practitioners help customers create a personalized plan. According to Craig, CAS Med Spa’s approach is rooted in science, shaped by experience, and designed to deliver results that last.

Craig’s own journey to open CAS Med Spa has contributed to her business approach. A native of Marietta, Craig obtained a bachelor’s degree in education, but chose to begin her professional career in the fitness industry where she opened and expanded health clubs. She later returned to school to train as an aesthetician. Then in 2016, Craig opened the first CAS Med Spa in Canton, GA. Her business model relied on and continues to rely on her past experiences – aesthetician training, fitness expertise, and education degree.

“Just as a fitness instructor creates a stepped phase approach for someone to reach a fitness goal, a med spa practitioner can do likewise,” says Craig. “It all boils down to building a relationship with the customer and helping that person create a clear understanding of her or his goals and then plan for success.” Craig goes on the say that her role at CAS Med Spa involves teaching other practitioners, which incorporates the skills learned through her education degree.

East Cobb’s CAS Med Spa offers an array of facial and body treatments for its customers. These encompass injectable, nonsurgical facial procedures, including Botox®, Kybella®, and the Juvéderm® Collection of Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers. Other procedures include PDO Thread Lifting, a relatively new facial treatment that addresses problems caused by skin laxity; Coolsculpting®, a body contouring process that freezes fat away; and skincare treatments to address issues such as acne and sun damage.

At the heart (literally) of CAS Med Spa’s success is Dr. James Christopher Craig, Ph.D., Cassie Craig’s husband and best supporter. Dr. Craig is board-certified and splits his time between the two CAS Med Spa locations, Craig Wellness and Recovery in Canton, and the Highland Rivers Health Clinic in Jasper, GA, where he serves as Medical Director. Cassie Craig refers to him as “a cowboy in his approach to PDO Thread Lifting procedures and one of the best doctors around for his expertise in nonsurgical injectables.” Dr. Craig is at the East Cobb location on Fridays.

CAS Med Spa has been named a Triple Diamond Level Practice, an industry standard awarded to the top performers in the business. According to Craig, their staff practitioners have the highest level of training available in the services offered. In fact, she comments, other providers come to CAS Med Spa for training.

“We promote self-care and champion our customers’ needs by helping them accentuate the things they love about themselves and then build on that,’” says Craig. “Essentially, we take the lab coat out of the picture and instead embrace transformative thinking.”
