Members of the fitness program Boot Camp in the Park joined Friends, a volunteer group benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) to continue the tradition of decorating mailboxes.
For a small donation to CHOA, residents of Cobb County received a visit from the Holiday Mailbox Brigade. The Boot Camp elves, who live in East Cobb and Roswell beautifully decorated 9 mailboxes in Marietta/East Cobb with fresh holiday greenery and a festive handmade bow. “It was so much fun. We even cranked up some Christmas music & danced at various stops,” shared Tran Smith, a Holiday Mailbox Brigade volunteer.
For every item purchased, a patient at Egleston, Hughes Spalding or Scottish Rite will receive a “Holiday Hug” sign for their hospital door. Last year, The Friends groups decorated 5,600 mailboxes and raised $287,000 for Children’s. This year, their goal is to raise $300,000.
