There’s no quicker way to get your culture fix than taking an art walk The Marietta Art Walk is back with changes to allow for social distancing. Art Walk is a free self-guided walking tour of the Marietta Square’s galleries, museums, cultural venues, restaurants and businesses. Check out the Facebook page to see which galleries are participating. Please bring a mask for inside the galleries.

Saturday, July 4: Marietta Picnic in the Park & Woodstock Fireworks

With most parades and festivals cancelled due to Covid-19 guidelines, the City of Marietta is hosting a picnic. Enjoy live music, kid’s activities, games, and lots of extra outdoor seating! Food available for purchase

Then Later that night, the City of Woodstock is still planning fireworks. They strongly encourage those who gather in the area of Woodstock Square for the show to be responsible and follow CDC guidelines.

Monday, July 6: Bridge of Hope

The 2020 Abridged Trailfest features this interactive public art installation.  It is available for 6 months then the materials are repurposed into another public art display.  

This pedestrian bridge crosses the North 120 Loop at The Brumby Lofts. Multiple jewel-colored lucite panels will be affixed to the structure in a stunning display. Suspended overhead, white doves made of recycled plastic evoke a sense of hope. It has been dedicated to the Marietta High School Graduating Class of 2020.

Tuesday, July 7: Puppet-Making Workshop: Puppy Paper Puppet

The Roswell Cultural Arts Center is hosting puppet making workshops on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Everyone wants a puppy! Mix and match to design your very own pup at a creative puppet-making workshop. Recommended for ages 4 and up. Space is limited. Purchase tickets online.

Thursday, July 9: Indoor Campout

EAST COBBER FRUGAL FUNMOM FIELD TRIPS THIS WEEK: JULY 3 – JULY 9 7

Join Mountain View Regional Library staff in a virtual campfire stories night. You’ll sit by the “campfire,” tell stories, and sing some fun camping songs. They encourage you to set up your own indoor campsite at home while you join us for this live event.

They will be providing optional packages with crafts and activities that can be picked up the Tuesday prior to the event, July 7th, from 10am- noon and again from 4-5pm while supplies last.
