SATURDAY, JUNE 30
Kennesaw State University’s 11th Annual Star-Spangled Spectacular. Kick off your Independence Day celebration at the Star-Spangled Spectacular! Featuring a patriotic concert with performances by the KSU Big Band and KSU Summer Orchestra followed by a spectacular fireworks finale. The Family Fun Festival features pre-concert activities including free games, face painting, and balloon artists for kids plus food vendors, exhibitors and vendors from the KSU community and beyond, and more.

SUNDAY, JULY 1
Splash into Fun! Escape the heat with a trip to East Roswell’s Spray Station! This premier sprayground offers lots of fun for kids and toddlers to splash around in for hours.

MONDAY, JULY 2
An American Celebration Concert. An American Celebration concert featuring music by the Johnson Ferry Choir and Orchestra. An Ice Cream Social will follow the concert in the Fellowship Hall. Bring a carton of your favorite ice cream to the Fellowship Hall prior to the concert (not required) and return afterwards to enjoy!

TUESDAY, JULY 3
Salute to America. The City of Kennesaw’s 2018 pre-Independence Day celebration of freedom, music and fireworks is one of the biggest and best in North Georgia! Salute to America eventgoers will be treated to two stages of live music, festive street entertainment, food vendors and plenty of activities for the kids.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 4
Celebrate July 4th on the Marietta Square with the City! Grab your American flag, put on your red, white and blue, and celebrate America’s independence with an Independence Day parade and celebration on the Square, free live concerts, arts and crafts show, food, carnival games and the City of Marietta fireworks finale
The Marietta Independence Day parade starts at 10am at Roswell Street Baptist Church and ends at North Marietta Parkway. It will be followed by concerts, museum tours, arts and crafts, carnival games, and a fireworks finale at dark in Glover Park/Marietta Square.

Anne Frank in the World Exhibit. This 600 photograph exhibit tells the story of young Anne Frank, from her days of freedom in the 1930s to her hiding with her family in Amsterdam, to her 1945 death in the Bergen-Belson concentration camp. This powerful, moving exhibit provides visitors a chance to learn, explore, share and remember the history and lessons of the Holocaust and its continued relevance today.

FRIDAY, JULY 6
Take a Hike at Sope Creek! Sope Creek Park offers over 3 miles of hiking, mountain biking and running trails. The Sope Creek Trail travels to the multi-story ruins of a paper mill, destroyed by Union troops during the Civil War. Beside the ruins, Sope Creek flows wide and shallow, coursing through angular shoals under a canopy of trees towards the wide Chattahoochee River just downstream.
Cost: $5 for a day long parking pass
