In 1976, the Mount Paran Christian Learning Center was established with a staff of two people and a single three-year-old class. Since then, God has richly blessed Mount Paran Christian School now celebrating its 50th year on its 68-acre campus. The school has become the largest independent school in Cobb county growing to an enrollment of 1,320 in grades Pre-K3-12th and 275 career educators. Along the way, MPCS has been steadfast in its mission to provide academic excellence in a Christ-centered environment, developing resilience in students and a faith that can move mountains.

How To “Move Mountains”

MPCS is a partner to parents in raising kids up to be fully prepared for the life journey ahead. Students must have a solid faith foundation and possess the confidence to tackle any challenge. Teachers help students aim high, enabling them to navigate through and ultimately conquer each milestone. Whether it’s rigorous academic pursuits in the classroom, courage to perform on stage, or the ability to excel on the athletic field, MPCS guides students to approach their individual educational journey with a growth mindset and an unwavering faith.

Success is achieved through the support of a close-knit school community and highly-qualified, nurturing teachers who very-intentionally know and love each child individually — teachers who share an unapologetic, commitment to Christ. They build character and determination in their students to overcome inevitable obstacles while encouraging them to actively pursue and achieve their individual goals.

A Strong History of Rising Above

What students and teachers are accomplishing together is leading the way in private education. Peak metrics include MPCS preschoolers performing with 13% higher Kindergarten readiness; high school students passing 91% of their AP exams, and an astounding half of applicants gaining acceptance to UGA or Georgia Tech. Award-winning arts and magnet programs coupled with continuous State-championship teams among 17 sports offerings, MPCS supports a well-rounded, next-level experience. Coaches and instructors are committed to discipling young people for Christ, ensuring that hard work, character-development, and faith are never left behind.

The result of an intentional educational journey is ultra-prepared graduates who are resilient leaders with hearts for service. Class of 2019 alum Kamryn Kitchens who attended Baylor affirms, “Much more important than the knowledge, athletic training, and study skills I learned at Mount Paran that have served me well, is growing so much closer to Christ during my time there which will forever stay with me.” As MPCS students navigate through school, they learn to blaze trails, on their way to becoming the next generation of dynamic leaders.
