Wow, 30 years—it’s a pretty long time, right? I mean, think about it. Three decades can feel like forever, whether you’re talking about sticking with your better half in marriage or just living in the same old house. But here’s the kicker: in the wild world of magazines, especially local ones, 30 years is like a gazillion! I mean, you’ve seen magazines come and go, right? But for folks who love diving into the East Cobb community scene, EAST COBBER magazine has been our rock for three decades!

This October, we ring in the 30th anniversary of EAST COBBER, and that’s a big deal. After cranking out 319 monthly issues, throwing 25 community parades, sending out our trusty weekly E-newsletter to over 22,000 email buddies, launching a fancy website, and posting about a million things on our social media, I’m still laser-focused on keeping you all in the loop about our awesome neighbors, cool events, and all the local buzz in East Cobb County.

Since way back in 1993, we’ve been dishing out stories about East Cobb’s unsung heroes, talented artists, savvy advertisers, local  clubs and leaders, rocking musicians, and supermoms. Plus, you’ve probably  noticed our special sections like the Camp Guide, Pet Guide, Preschool Guide,  and more. This edition has our 15th annual Private School Guide and all the usual  goodies like the Community Calendar, Pet of the Month, and Health & Wellness  scoop. Our goal? Always giving you the inside track on everything East Cobb.

I hope you have as much fun reading EAST COBBER as I have putting it  together month after month. Do you know what’s awesome about East Cobb?  It’s filled with people who step up and share their talents and opinions to make this place even better. Take our annual EAST COBBER Parade & Festival, for  example. It’s all about neighbors coming together to celebrate our kick-butt  community. And guess what? This year, I had the honor of being the parade’s  producer and director. Let me tell you, I got to see firsthand the amazing  kindness, generosity, and teamwork that makes this parade the absolute best  in all of Cobb County. Check out the photos on the next pages—they’re  awesome!

In a world full of big corporations and sensational headlines, your friendly comments and helpful critiques keep me going as the publisher of a down-to earth magazine that’s all about spreading the good vibes. So here’s to another  fantastic 30 years ahead! Cheers!
