After months of preparation, the Wheeler High School CircuitRunners Robotics team FTC 1002 continued a strong season by winning highest honors at the robotics state championships. Thanks to all their hard work during the season, the team won the all-round Inspire Award, becoming one of only three Georgia teams that qualified for the World Championships in Houston from April 20th to 23rd.

Team FTC 1002 (Also called Surge) is made up from students from Wheeler High and are mentored by professionals from the Atlanta area. They’re supported by CircuitRunners Robotics, a 501(c)3 nonprofit STEM organization which hosts three teams based out of Wheeler. For the past 20 years, CircuitRunners has had teams compete in FIRST robotics, a youth robotics program that aims to develop students into global leaders in science, technology, and engineering.

To support their journey to the World Championship, the team is looking for community sponsors who share our goals of developing the next generation of leaders in STEM. The team has set up a GoFundMe for individual donors and additionally has sponsorships available for local businesses.
