Fans at this year’s BB&T Atlanta Open will have the opportunity to see the 2012 Atlanta Open champion in action, with Andy Roddick competing at Monday night exhibition match on Monday, July 22 against East Cobb native Robby Ginepri. Robby is a former world No. 15 and the US Open semi-finalist from 2005, retiring in 2015. Andy is a former world No. 1 and the 2003 US Open champion-Men’s Single.

This year’s event will be held July 20-28, and in a new more spacious spot at Atlantic Station will also feature seven-time singles major champion, Venus Williams, and 2017 US Open finalist Madison Keys in a women’s exhibition. Tickets are on sale now at www.bbtatlantaopen.com.

Andy will return to Atlanta for that Robby Ginepri clash, facing his friend in the relaxed atmosphere. Monday night’s evening session will begin with Roddick and Ginepri renewing their rivalry. Roddick, an Atlanta favorite since he turned professional won his first ATP World Tour title in Atlanta in 2001. He also claimed the 2003 US Open singles title. Ginepri, who reached a career high ATP ranking of No. 15 now coaches on the ATP World Tour. Ginepri is a graduate of Wheeler High School (Class of 2001) and reached the semifinals of the 2005 US Open. Ginepri is also a co-owner of the Olde Towne Athletic Club/GPT Tennis Academy. This tennis match is a chance to show some love to a great champion and a local tennis legend compete once again on a big stage.
